Christian Jewelry and Sterling Silver Earrings

Wearing jewelry with the Christian symbols of the cross and the icthus fish is very popular these days! We have been adding more earrings and necklaces to our religious jewelry collection on a regular basis, especially in the earrings section. The cross earrings are an all time favorite!

The silver earrings are always a best seller and it is common for women to purchase two pairs of an earring set that they like, in case an earring or a backing is lost. Occasionally we come across some really nice earring and necklace sets, such as you find in the Blessings Collection.

Most of the silver earrings we carry are stud earrings, which is held in place by a clutch. We also have some continuous hoop earrings, dangle earrings and we recently added more of the ear thread earrings. Since most women have pierced ears, we have not carried many earrings with the huggy / clip-on backing.

The sterling silver earrings are made of .925 silver, which is top quality silver and will last a long time. As with all silver, these earrings will eventually tarnish and they require occasional polishing. It is best to use a proper polishing cloth, but if you do not have one, a soft 100% cotton t-shirt will do. Never press hard or rub in circles, as it is easy to scratch the metal. Soft strokes in a straight line are best. And if you are not wearing the silver jewelry very much, it is best to store it in a zip lock bag along with a drying agent such as a silica gel packet.

Cultures change over time, and along with hair length, beards and mustaches, the mens earrings come and go. We know that the men in the days of Job wore earrings. Job 42:11 Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold.

Either the men were giving their own earrings, or there were a lot of unhappy wives with an incomplete earring set!
