- The auto emblems are made of plastic with a metal coating on them, and they have a peel and stick adhesive on the back. The manufacturer assures us that the adhesive will not damage paint, and so far the only thing we have heard is that when and if the Christian fish is removed, the surrounding paint might be faded. But normally the auto emblem will come off with a little heat, like on a hot day or if heat is applied with a heat gun or blow dryer. Any remaining adhesive will come off with Goo-Gone or another adhesive remover.
